Golden Eagle Flyin'

Question by Jeff B: Coin shop said it would pay me 95% of current gold commodity price for 1986 1 ounce Eagle gold coin, mint.
Is this a good deal for me? Or could I get better elsewhere?

I really don't think you'd get much better anywhere. Everybody's got to make a living.

If I bought 2006 silver eagle proofs.
or if I bought 2006 gold eagle proofs?
Back in 1991 I bought 0 worth of non-proof silver dimes/half-dollars last week I sold them in the rich part of town. She gave me 0 for them So anyway would proof silver/gold coins be a good idea? Any help would be great..Thank you!

Liberty Head gold coin

solid gold

Also if you know any good places/webcites to sell them at go ahead and list those too? so far im think about selling them on ebay.

If the is gold plated, it's not an American Eagle. It's a replica coin made by a private mint, and the amount of actual gold is a few pennies' worth. They're sold on TV for each and worth nowhere near that. The real deal 1986 gold eagle starts at around 00.

The 1881, if it's genuine, starts at around 0.
